Daily Devotional- Operate With Integrity

A psalm of David: Psalms 26

How do we operate with Integrity in a world that is drifting further and further away from it? He must always have out hearts examined. David asked God to examine his heart to make sure he continued to operate with integrity. When God sees our motivates our pure, He knows we will have integrity and show people that is the right way to live.

Daily Devotional- The Father’s Love is Not Performance Based

“After his baptism, as Jesus came up out of the water, the heavens were opened and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and settling on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my dearly loved Son, who brings me great joy.” – Matthew 3:16-17

The Father’s love is not performance based. He doesn’t measure us to anyone else. He is pleased with us and has been from the beginning. He must look past hurts from others when didn’t measure up to their standards and realize we don’t have to perform to make our Heavenly Father delight in us.

Daily Devotional- Believing What You Pray

“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.” – Matthew 17:20

Are you believing what you pray for or just praying because it’s the “right thing to do?” So many times we get get discouraged about our prayers when they are not answered on our timeline. However, God wants to see where our faith is and how much we trust Him. So keep praying whatever you have been praying about and have the belief it is going to be answered.

Daily Devotional- Refilling Your Tanks

Freedom from Rules and New Life in Christ: Colossians 2:6-23

When it comes to refilling your tanks, you need to do what refills you and not be to legalistic about it. In Robert Morris book “Take the Day Off” He talks about in one chapter what our four tanks are and explains what you can do to refill each. The main goal of resting and refilling your tanks one day each week is so you can be overflowing and pour into the people you are around and serving in your life.

Daily Devotional- Promise Keeper

This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

If you’ve been alive for any length of time, there’s a good chance that someone has betrayed your trust; someone at some point has made you a promise they didn’t keep or treated you in a way they shouldn’t have. Betrayal is hard. Broken trust is painful. Believing promises gets harder when people keep letting you down.

But we serve a God who keeps His promises.

The Bible tells an epic story of the God who pursues His people relentlessly, loves unconditionally, and keeps His word faithfully, time and time again. When He speaks, He means what He says. God promised Joshua that He would be with him wherever he went, then He not only kept that promise, but also gave us a written account of how He stayed with Joshua and the Israelites for generations and generations. We can see His faithfulness in Scripture and trust that the same God who kept His promises to His people then will be with us today.

That is where we find our strength. That is why we can be courageous in this world. We serve a God who does not change, who keeps His promises, and who does not leave us no matter what. We can stand on the secure, stable, and firm foundation of a God whose faithfulness endures forever.

Daily Devotional- God is Looking For Availability

“And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” – 2 Timothy 2:2 NKJV

God is looking for people to be available, the question is are you making yourself available for Him to use you to Expand the Kingdom?

Daily Devotional- We Harvest What We Plant

We Harvest What We Plant: Galatians 6:1-10

What kind of seeds are we planting in others lives? Are planting good seeds and helping stay the course in the Spirit or are we leading them down a wrong path? When we sow good things into people we can expect good things. So we we see someone struggling with sin, the best thing we can do is point them back to the right path. When we do this we are sowing good things into others lives and can expect a good harvest because of it.

Daily Devotional- Be Present With God

“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” – Matthew 6:34

This week’s message is about be present with God. So many times we find ourselves worrying about what is ahead that we don’t find joy in the current moment. We need to cast our worries about future things with God and just be present with Him and just focus on the current day and what it will bring.

Daily Devotional- Rejoice in the Lord

“Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!” – Philippians 4:4

Paul and Silas in Prison: Acts 16:16-40

Rejoice in the Lord. This is something we should always do but have a hard time doing it when times become tough. We tend to ask God why He allowed for a bad situation to happen to us. However, what if we adopted the same mindset as Paul did when he was imprisoned for sharing the Good News?

There is always reason to rejoice in the Lord. We should always give Him praise and during tough times ask Him for strength and how He wants to use our current situation to show His goodness to others.
